At Archicad Team, we provide building information modelling, drafting services (or BIM services as they commonly known) using Graphisoft Archicad BIM application which allows changes in one view/area to be replicated automatically in all other views/areas where the changed item appears (including layouts, elevations, schedules or the 3D model itself).
We currently use 3D BIM modelling application for the following project and customer types:
BIM for Retail – We create Archicad BIM models that are used to create detailed plans, sections and elevations as well as accurate equipment and fixture schedules.
BIM Models from Surveys data – We create 3D architectural models from survey data. We already work with a number of developers, contractors and retailers to create accurate models of existing sites. As well as creation of the 3D model in Archicad from survey data, we model any building alterations and changes from architectural and structural drawings, such as false ceiling and additional structural elements.
BIM for Homebuilders – We create construction drawing sets directly from BIM models created for each house as a part of our residential BIM modeling services. As well as accurate schedules, a full set of drawings required by construction teams is created from the Archicad BIM models.

SketchUp model conversion services to Archicad BIM
Provide us with your SketchUp or Autocad files and we will be able to use it in Building Information Modeling software as a reference file. We will trace and reconstruct your model in the virtual environment using Archicad software.
While converting we can use composites, BIM objects, place aditional anotation and labling. SketchUp model or Autocad drawings will be translated to archicad from suitable elements and the most effective archicad modeling methods will be used for their creation. Technicians will create accurate Archicad models of existing buildings. This process is called an existing conditions survey (abbreviated: ECS). The structure could be a building, home, stadium, warehouse, or similar.
We predicted that survey information in a 3D Archicad format will come to replace traditional 2d survey information. The main advantage that a Archicad survey offers is that it provides a much more detailed set of survey data which is already in 3D. In the past if a firm wanted to build a BIM model of an existing building they would need to use existing 2d drawings. These 2D plans miss off lots of 3D data that is essential in a BIM model.
For example a 2D survey only requires the internal measurements of a room to draw it in 2D. This is not enough information for a BIM survey. In BIM software a wall cannot be just a straight line it has to have a thickness. This is the fundamental difference with a Archicad survey, you move from a 2d line drawing to an intelligent model where each item is created from a family with its own specific properties.
